Friends and I stayed at the Jayakarta last year and booked an apartment. The room they initially put us in was disgusting, we walked in and straight away it smelt. It was dark, damp and awful, one of the seats were wet.
We ended moving rooms 3 times and ended up in a hotel room which was ok. If I were you I would definitely stay in the hotel rather than the apartments.
