but I think your other half will find that Deb Mash is fine but tin corn beef will be way too dense a food just after Lap band.Someone I know very well had lap band a few years ago & shortly after surgery was on yogurts, jelly & soups & could handle nothing else for over a month. The next step was everything minced through the blender.
After a while they upgraded to very well cooked soft vegetables & fish & this was long before they were able to handle meat of any sort.Keep in mind this is a very slow process & can't rush it.She will find out very quickly what happens if she eats the wrong sort of food or tries to eat too quickly !
Four years down the track & regularly Doctor's consultations this person I am talking about still can't eat a large main course but then again isn't this the whole idea of this procedure ? I honestly think your other half really needs to talk to her surgeon & dietician ASAP & definately before you head to Bali.

I am positive she would have been given some pretty good guide lines as to time frames & what & when she can eat anything. Are you aware that there are recipe books available in Australia re good meals to cook/eat for lap band patients from people who have been there & done that ? IF you want to chat via email I am more than happy to do that.
