when we were in Sanur last week there was a strike one of the days by taxi's. They were objecting to the Blue Bird taxi's taking money from Bali and it all going to Jakarta. The drivers were saying that blue bird was suppose to have 500 taxi's but had brought in 1500, taking work away from other drivers that are Balinese, and were earning money to stay in Bali. There were no taxi pick ups that day but all back to normal after that.
