Threaten to ring the bluebird main Office. We had a problem with a bluebird taxi driver once on a trip to denpasar. Same trip two days in row previously was around 20,000 and then suddenly this time was over 30,000. When we asked the driver about it, he said that's just how it was, maybe more traffic today etc.. We then asked him to hold on a minute while I rang Bluebird, (had put their number in my phone previously after being warned about driver problems) as I wanted to check with them how the meter worked what rate supposed to be charged. The bluebird driver panicked and pleaded with us not ring them, He didn't want any trouble, said he could lose his Job and so on, and then offered to only take 20,000, and this is without us saying anything. Anyway, strange reaction I thought and figured maybe he might be honest because he didn't insist on the full amount, so ended up handing him the full amount anyway, but he refused to take more then 20,000. Just kept saying, No, don't want any trouble. So, don't know if he was honest or just scared because he'd obviusoly been in trouble before, but since then I always make sure I have the number in my phone.
