I recall someone saying they paid around the US$100 mark for the rhino package. It's US$35 for the basic package.

Up to you if you think the extra US$60+ per person is worth it to you...

You get an extra round on the safari bus - honestly, once is enough.

You get unlimited animal encounters on the rhino and only one in the basic, but it costs only Rp30K to buy the extras if you want them.

You get one photo for free on the rhino package - they were only around Rp60K from memory, but you can take as many pics as you want on your own camera for free anyway. It's just a pic in a cardboard folder that you get for free.

You can get unlimited rides in the fun park, but they were only Rp30K each when we last went - and the rides were sitting mostly idle.

You get a "meal" at the Tsavo restaurant, but I'm guessing you won't get free pick from the menu and probably just a hamburger. It cost us Rp600K for 5 adults having burgers and drinks (some had 2 drinks).

The elephant ride would be the big reason to go rhino package IF everyone wants to use it, otherwise maybe just pay per person. The website lists it at US$59/adult and US$39/child for a 30 minute ride. There were no lines of people waiting for it last year when we went, so I doubt you'd need to pre-book it.

You also get a camel ride for free on the rhino package, but that was pretty cheap to just buy and I have never seen anyone going on a camel ride in two visits to the park. I think you just go around the pen they have them sitting in.

The souvenir you get for free wouldn't be much, and the souvenirs are very cheap to buy if you decide you want them.

I guess you just need to decide if you'd use the extra value included per person or just pay as you go.
