Hey just got back from beautiful Bali. there is something very special about this place and its people. This was my second trip and not my last.
This time round it was even more exciting because I knew what was coming and we did a lot more this time round too.
girls trip, no kids or hubbys and dam it was good
We stayed at jayakarta hotel apartments, would stay there again for sure, great location with the beach across the road and shopping /restaurants behind you, not far from Kuta

2 of us did the Balinese cooking experience-fantastic this was the highlight of my trip, being a chef I wanted to see how they cook their there way .We went to the local market to buy something's we needed, eg onions chilli, ginger
That was a real eye opener lol nice to see the local ladies selling their home grown foods. but I wasn't game enough to buy any meat they had sitting there
Then on a becak ride which was fun, then to visit a school but no kids as its holidays? Then to the grounds were we had grandma show us how to make the offerings which was so good. even though she couldn't speak English she still managed to communicate to us how to make them. Then we were shown how to cook 6 different dishes and we were allowed to help cook them, it was great seeing their style of kitchen and how it all works. Loved this trip!!! And had lunch after which was way too much for the 2 of us but we gave it a good crack.
Anyone wanting to experience real bali life then this maybe for you.
Bali Safari and Marine park was good also for the animal lovers
Waterbomb park was a lot of fun.but i tell you i crapped myself on the boomerang ride very scary the rest of the rides were fun.
Silver factory and wood carving places in Ubud were good to see.I just loved driving into the country side looking at everything.
Monkey forest-that was great to see all the monkeys, but not so great when one jumped on my bloody head! I just keeping thinking I should have had rabies shot. But none of these monkeys have rabies so all was good. Once it was off me I found it funny along with everyone else wetting themselves laughing
. Taman Ayun -family temple, Tanah Lot temple, Batu Bolong temple were fantastic and so fascinating we all got blessed at Tanah Lot very special. But the best one I found was Goa Gajah elephant cave that place had some very special magic about it. I just couldn't believe how beautiful a place could be. Our tour guide Agoun told us alot about its history, amazing!

Reunion bar is a must for the karaoke lovers such a fun place and it hasn't changed a bit since last time I went there so friendly, always make you feel welcome. Im very proud that I got a headband, stubbie holder and t-shirt for my drinking efforts.lol don't think the drinks were that strong I don't normally drink that much. Come to think of it maybe I do while in bali lol I drank bintang everyday almost all day.gotta love being on holiday. Also went to paddys bar.

Kuta beach always a fav of mine even tho there are hundreds on the beach you feel like you are the only one, got some beautiful professional photos taken too.and there is nothing better than having a late night walk along a beautiful beach so peaceful

Buddy marley tattoo-omg these guys rock,i got a cover up job ,i went in there with a few pics of what i liked and wanted, went back a few days later and almost cried he had drawn exactly what I wanted, they were very clean and so professional and respectful and very quick, it took 2 hours for someone in Australia to stuff up a memorial tatt and only took Buddy 1 hour to cover it up completely with a beautiful tattoo which I LOVE. My friend also got one from him and its awesome. I don't think I would get any more tattoos from anyone else now,

Food-being a foodie dinner time was exciting. We enjoyed 2 great meals at Yutz-fab food and so cheap. Someone other holidayers recommended it to us so thank you to whoever you are. Where else could you get a fillet steak and drinks for $10 aus
Bubba Gumps was also a fav the staff in that place are so much fun.its a restaurant based on Forrest Gump movie. Great value and food
Zanzibar was probably my least fav place to eat ,still nice and nice location on the beach front.
La Monda-nice place to eat, its upstairs. Huge kitchen with friendly chefs-had to check it out to compare to ours. Nice meal too.friendly staff.
Hard Rock Café-nice food and staff, great for listening to the live bands,we went twice for the bands.
Found a few great local places to eat, I can't get over how fresh everything is, you can really taste it.
Well my trip was amazing once again, back home now cooking my own meals and paying full price for everything and hating our raod rules. wish I was back in Bali, it really does have some magic about it !!!!
Thank you all who have posted info on this forum, it made my trips all that much easier.

Hope to see you one day in Bali

trin xx
