Shoe shank repair

Unusual question but...has anyone ever had a broken shoe shank repaired in Bali. I've been quoted $180 here and wondered if it was worth taking them over. $40 high platform dress shoes that are so comfortable I'd love them fixed but not at $180. Thanks
