I always use the Permata Bank on Rum Jungle Road. This time I went to withdraw 3,000,000 rph, went through all the motions, pin no, amount etc but no money!!! This was on a Friday night and all sorts of things goes through your mind. Rang the number on the back of my visa debit card but they could not help. Rang the credit union telephone banking and it did show up as going through. It was a very uneasy two days then first thing Monday morning rang the credit union in Oz to be re-assured that the transaction had reversed. The atm was simply out of money but unlike the atm's here it will let you go through the whole process and gives you no indicaiton what the problem was. I would pursue this with your bank when you get back to Oz, or maybe you will be lucky like me and find the transaction will be reversed. Don't give up just yet
