it seems that the further north you go (away from the "wealthy" south) the more needy ALL places become.
That includes schools, orphanages etc.
I know that some on here like to focus on just one place and almost advertise it as such, but I always feel that this is a bit unfair on the others who have no such exposure and may miss out on random visits.
Maybe it's a case of going to the North, and speaking with people there who know of the places you are interested in.
One such could be David at Rambutan Cottages in Lovina.
We have visited orphanages in Tabanan and Denpasar, and although hardly well off, they are certainly much better catered for in all respects than those we have visited around Singaraja.
Good luck with it and I hope you are able to contribute where it is most needed.
