Flew Air Asia on 25th April from Perth. Flight and seats were good. Got through VOA and customs fairly quickly. Stayed at Kuta Town Houses' Really liked it. we had room 127 2 bedroom apart. right outside the pool. The only problem we found a lot of taxis won't go up Poppies 1, maybe 1 in 4 taxis would.
Everything was going great until one night I was climbing into back of a car, rolled onto my hand and snapped a tendon in my finger. No pain at all but the tip of my finger was drooping. Went to dr. and he strapped it to my other finger. 200,000 rp. The next night i slipped on the wet floor of our hotel room, my knee went under me and excrutiating pain. I thought my leg was broken. I couldn't move. The Manager called BIMC ambulance. They arrived (3 of them) sedated me, and apparently put my dislocated knee back. I don't remember that but my daughter said I was crying and they said give her more sedation. Anyway when I came to I was in the ambulance on my way to BIMC. They x rayed my knee and finger. They put a brace on my leg from toe to top of my leg and crutches for the rest of my holiday. We were going to Ubud the next day which I was stuck in the hotel room at Tegal Sari which was a bit dismal. Flying home Air Asia I had to sit with my leg across the seat in my daughter. Luicky the middle seat was spare.
My dr. here said BIMC have done everything right. They were wonderful actually but if my leg was broken, I would still be there, so I am very grateful. Just everyone make sure you have travel insurance. I am going through the insurance now, which I had NAB Gold Visa credit card insurance, so will let you know how it all goes. BIMC charges were 9 million rp. approx $1200
