If you book with an agent you have someone to contact if a volcanoe erupts and you're stuck. An agent is backed up by a travel compensation fund. Most agents only have a 2-8% mark up. Not a lot when the average Bali fare is less than $1000.00.

But with that said, on line can be cheaper. I know we always try to match or beat internet fares.

The other advantage with an agent, if your room stinks and it doesn't have any windows, the agent can often go direct to the wholesaler and get you out of there.
