warning on traffic

twice now I have left kuta/legian area around 5pm to go up to Ubud and its crazy traffic jams most of the way. I will never go at that time again. It took our driver 45 minutes to drive from Kuta Beach to Waterbom to pick us up...he is from Ubud and he could not believe it....
