I will be getting a Venus USB dongle when I am there on Tuesday. My friends tell me that you can get unlimited download limits, at Rp. 50,000 for 6 months.
Not sure what the actual dongle costs, but it worth it I beleive. Apparently you can get them all over the island, but I will be going to Remo, where all the computer stores are in Denpasar.
