Hi Dave
A "dongle" is the name for a USB device which sticks out the side of your laptop.
Basically, the three types of dongles around :
Bluetooth Dongles, which allow you to connect to other Bluetooth devices (mobile phones, printers, headphones).
WiFi Dongles, which allow your computer to connect to a wifi access point, either in your house or whilst you are out and about.
GPRS / 3G Dongle, which has a SIM card inside and allows you to connect to the mobile phone companies internet service anywhere a signal is available (acts like a mobile phone for connecting to internet).
....and as you can se has nothing to do with "the angle of the dangle".
