thank you again, it is such a relief to get information & suggestions from another pasionate, empathetic traveller. Yes I am concerned I will definately make contact and try and pay her installments for her depending on who the debt is owed to. She is a highly respected woman at Banjar Kelod in Legian and they would be aware of the situation. I will be speaking to her again tonight. If I was in the finanacial position to fly to Bali tomorrow with the $7k I would be on the next available flight. I trust her completely and cannot believe that some people on this forum think that just because a Balinese person has a problem like this that they are all scammers - shame on them! I trust this family completely and have known them since 1976 and back then there was no such scammimg, violence, & yobbos in Kuta/Legian - It was full of the most gentlest people in the world.
