Hi There, Cheryl has pretty much covered everything, plasters (band-aids), nappies, wipes, formula, bottles and dummies (if your little one still has these) are a must as they are either very expensive, different or very hard to come by Also swim nappies are UNAVAILABLE there (unless somewhere I didn't search!!) so makes sure you have a GOOD supply of these!! Our son is now two and he started going when he was 5 weeks old, our daughters have also been from very young ages. Don't be worried about the plane too much, we have made two trips to england with the girls 8 months & 4yrs and again 2yrs and 6 yrs and they usually do better than you think! make sure you have whatever they like to sleep with for the trip and try to check in early so you can secure an extra seat and get a whole row if available, you will be glad you did. The things that are cheap over there are pool toys and blocks/lego type toys so I wouldn't be too concerned about taking too much of this. Also, it is still quite humid there now so he/she will only need vests and shorts or all in one sleeveless suits for daytime. I generally had all in one cotton suits or full cotton pants and long sleeved tops for sleeping. one, to help with mozzie bites and two because the aircon will be runinng all night so will be cooler in your room. I also use lavender oil dotted sparingly on their clothing for mozzies and haven't had problems. Finally - at the supermarkets and mini marts you can get a little dome shaped electrical appliance that a plastic container of oil screws up into the middle of, they are really cheap and work well for keeping mozzies out of the bedroom too! Most all, have fun.
