my daughter is 6 now but when she was younger I basically took everything. A lot of things you can get there but I found it was just easier to have everything on hand. ie if mine were going to have a temperature it was usually in the middle of the night.

stroller, nappies, wipes, forumla, tinned food - or any snacks that they love, thermometer, childrens pandol/nurofen, some cold and flu medicine, sunscreen, bandaids, antiseptic cream, arm bands/floaties, aqua ear, mossie repelant, anti bacterial wipes, gastrolite or gastrolite ice blocks, Aquim Gel (anti-bacterial hand gel). Also some Soov (or similar)- just incase he/she does get bitten by a mozzie.

You can get nappies and baby food in bali but the baby food is very very expensive and the nappies were not very good quality but I've heard that they have improved in the last few years.

as for entertaining - it's very hard on the plane but once they are in Bali they soon wear themselves out in the pool. Also most hotels have a childrens TV Channel which is great for some down time. We usually take a portable DVD player too.

Hope this helps a bit
