on my last trip in February. It was their 3G "Volume Based Pre-Paid" package (see link below)so you pay for the amount of download and not time you are online which is great if you only want it for emails but can chew up the credit if you are surfing the web etc... or downloading/uploading files, photos etc...
The cost was Rp860,000 but included the USB flash modem, the SIM card and Rp300,000 Simpati bonus credit. I travel a fair bit while I'm in Bali and try to use Wi-Fi when available but the USB worked a treat everywhere I went. It uses a Simpati Sim card same as the mobile phone sim and you simply top up the credit as needed same as a Bali mobile. I got mine direct from Telkomsel head office in Denpasar but I'd say any phone shop can help you out with just the Sim.
