Over the years I have had many formal outfits made by Mr Aristo who works at Merrys Collection in Ruko no 6 Jalan Padma Utara in Legian. It is just past the Fairy shop & opposite a Circle K store. It's a fair bit past the Melasti Beach resort but before you get to Bali Coconuts hotel. My husband has also had many suits made over the years & some of his early ones from over 5 years ago are still going strong. My husband wears suits on a daily basis & is fussy,He will have no one but Aristo make his suits now. It's been a couple of years but last time a 2 piece men's suit that was fully lined cost around $100 & with a second pair of trousers was about $125.I have so many outfits made at once I never think much about the individual prices.Aristo also makes lovely leather jackets, shoes, boots, handbags, purses & wallets. His quality is impeccable. Many forumites have been very satisfied customers of his for a bit over 5 years now from when I first discovered him & started telling everyone about how great his work is.Search the archives under "Aristo" for details.Aristo can design or make originals, copy outfits or work off a picture. The showroom is also air conditioned.
His new email address is aristo0791@yahoo.com
We are in regular touch with him at the moment & I know he checks his email every few days. His mobile number is 0813-3835-167 & the number for Merry's Collection is (0361)745 3145 but if you call the shop make sure you specifically ask for Aristo & mention you are from Bali Travel forum & mention my name.

Sometimes I have taken material from home,or ordered from samples that Aristo has shown me but most of the time now I go to Jalan Sulawesi in Denpasar. There are many little shops that sell a great range of fabrics at very reasonable prices.I have been to Alta Moda & while I think it's a great shop to look through I found the prices a lot more expensive than the smaller stores in Denpasar.Merry's Collection does have a range of fabric samples they can show you but I enjoy going to Denpasar & browsing around myself.Although I have never been there I believe that there is another fabric shop on the corner of Jalan Legian & Jalan Nakula.
I am positive that if you see Aristo that you will be very happy with the quality of his workmanship. We are heading back soon & my husband's excuse to everyone for going to back Bali this time is "I need some new suits" <LOL> His idea is that the cost of a good suit he likes at home can be $1000 > $1500 so that is already more than one airfare paid for !
