I have also heard locals in Lombok commenting on their turis guests who wouldn't leave their wedding. It's a bit of a minefield. Always best to try and check - although I have also found the couple themselves may not be open about what to do, wear, as they may not want to offend. If possible try to get the info from another local from that area, or a family member.
