in the Bangli region the guests are expected to sit with the bride and groom for about 30 minutes, then eat and then leave, it is very rude to stay longer than 1 hour.
Ive heard many stories from Balinese friends laughing weeks after the wedding how those white people they invited just wouldn't leave.
Bali has different customs all over, so better to ask them straight out what to do and wear. We never get dressed up too much for the poorer weddings as they don't want you to look better than them.
Also, it depends what day of the wedding you have been invited to, as there are some days the bride and groom won't be wearing their wedding outfits and makeup and go very casual.
This is the Bangli region, can be different in the regions but I thought I better mention it.
There is often a box at the entrance with a slot in it, put your money in an envelope to put in the box, if there is no box always give to the bride, not the groom.
