GPS & driving in Bali

We will be in Bali in Aug-Sept for our 9th visit and are going to hire a car for the first time. We have a Garmin GPS and will download the maps for Bali before we leave.

Was wanting to hear from anyone who has used GPS in Bali as to how they found this system. Any coments good or bad are welcome.
