people on here get their information but i for one have done my research over the years and found that even with fees and exchange rates (which i have found to generally be better than those offered on the streets) it works out BETTER to use an ATM card or JUST THE SAME as taking cash and using local money changers.
So just make your own choice on what you may find easier and of course be careful of where and when you use your card and always be vigilant of the machines.
In all the years of using ATM's in Bali i have never had a problem (touch wood).
