is not really an option for the reasons that you mention.
The taxi will not have the appropriate seat belts for you anyway.
The only way is to get a local car that has been fitted up with anchor points, and use that when practical (longer trips etc)
You need top quality pneumatic tyre prams for Kuta streets.
Kuta streets will shake the child or the stroller to pieces if a small wheel cheap stroller is used.
I think a backpack would be a handy addition, for busy market places etc.
