They would only help us as we had the other ticket with qantas. They didn't help other people. We saw them turning others away. We were lucky!!!!
Travel insurance isn't of any use, apparently.
There were apparently two reasons for the delay. Firstly the plane was late from Sydney to Melbourne, so that was the first 4 hour delay. The second delay was caused by a medical emergency that caused several???? people to be off loaded at Darwin. The only thing we could think of medically, might have been food posioning... or is a euphanism(sp?) for bad behaviour? Don't know, but very very glad to be home now!
