if they were sale fares you'll have no chance of changing them and if you can itll be a lot cheaper to buy new tickets. check the t&c for the tickets you bought as sale fares differ from other fares.
if you do end up having to cancel the flight look into getting a tax refund - you apply to the airline and can get a refund of govt taxes for untaken flights. should be info on the jetstar website.
