Just back from a great 12 nights in Bali. Went over with a group of 17 (12 adults & 5 kids, 13, 13, 11, 11 & 15mths) varying between family & friends. Flew Garuda out of Perth on the 5pm Friday flight. Food poor and service almost non existent. However, arrived on time & through customs within 1/2hr so very glad we didn't consider VIP VOA.

Stayed at the Breezes Resort in Seminyak and would stay there again. Nice place, good food, friendly staff and great pool area. Mongolian BBQ on Saturday nights is a must!! Only criticism (and it's only a small one) but they don't do a Happy Hour, although they have a swim up bar. Wasn't a big drama though.

Monday nights were Karaoke in the B Bar at the hotel, great fun and it looked like there was something happening in the B Bar most nights. This is really a great resort for families and the location is good, close to some mighty fine restaurants and shopping.

Did the usual - Waterbom, Safari Park, but as most of us have been to Bali before, didn't do much sightseeing.

Actually went over for sister-in-laws 40th so 6 of us went for a day spa at the Green Garden Spas, South Kuta. 5hr pamper package including lunch was only 550,000rp and it was divine - a definite must and I'm sure we all came out looking much younger?!?!

Had great meals at Lucky Day, Queens Tandoori, Lemongrass, Bestest Café (all in Seminyak) and very very average meals at Cosa Nostra & Santa Fe (also in Seminyak).

Overall, a fantastic holiday with family and friends. Only issue we had was the earthquake that rocked Bali on our 1st day (Saturday). 6.7 on the richter scale & let me tell you, the buildings were a-rockin but luckily no damage or injuries that we heard of.

Flight back ex Bali at 2pm to Perth was much better. Food still average but drinks service good. Through customs with no problems. Have heard on the forum at the customs officials at Perth airport were unfriendly, but we definitely did not find this to be the case.
