There is also the Yudisthira Swarga Foundation. We were handed a brochure while we watched the Kuta Karnival Street Parade last week. The Foundation has been operating since 1988 and was the first one to work with street dogs. The brochure states:- Over 500,000 dogs live on the streets and beaches in Bali. Though they look like strays most are considered community dogs. They suffer from parasites, skin disease, malnutrition and wounds. Yudisthira provides triage medical treatment and sterilisation using a catch-treat-release protocol. This is an extreamly successful and effective program. Yudisthira has been doing this program since the organisation was founded.
