other recommended area to visit

Hi- we have booked to stay at the Dynasty from the 19th Dec to 3rd Jan. What area would you most recommend for an overnight stay to see more of Bali- ie Lovina, Ubud, Sanur etc? We have 1 & 4 yr old children. Also any hotel recommendations in your fave area would be appreciated! Cheers!
