as those who choose to pay in AUD (Like me) accept that you will always get less change than is correct.
The way to avoid this is to get the USD, but then you get stung with a bad rate or a change over commission either way.
Some people on this forum actually regard the queueing as "part of the experience", and to "chill out because you are in Bali".
This is not a school of thought that I subscribe to.
I did consider at one stage looking into "Queuing Tours" for just such people, where you spent the entire day enjoying the experience of queueing without actually going anywhere.
I dropped the idea because I thought that people would not queue to book it.
The fact is that you are no more going to change what goes on at the airport than you are going to change what goes on at check out counters at department stores.
How it takes 4 people to sell a pair of socks, and such a carry on to get them in a bag and out of the shop is beyond me.
However, maybe the airport guys could adopt the idea of having an hourglass timer (A la Matahari) so that if the time runs out while processing you get a free visa.......I am sure the sand has been tampered with as it runs awfully slowly??!!
