We loved this resort! Staff were great, upkeep of the accommodation and grounds were up to date and the food in the restaurant was really varied and creative. We liked being on the water and it was very relaxing to fall asleep listening to the waves gently breaking on shore (we had a poolside cottage). Best pillows I've slept on anywhere, and I've travelled a lot.
We tried the food at the Lotus in Candidasa and found it disappointing. We couldn't get any service from the staff at Vincents as they were too busy reading the papers and the menu wasn't that appealing to us - relied too heavily on olives and goat cheese so we walked out of there even tho' so many on here rave about it. Couldn't see the point in being in sea side location and eating in an enclosed garden. After going to the Watergarden, Vincents and the Lotus we realised that what we were looking for was at the Rama - good food, service, a sea view and yummy cocktails. We found the Rama a great place to chill out and relax and were happy to lounge around and unwind having seen all the nearby attractions on previous trips. Make sure you wander down the back to see the back gardens and grounds if you stay here. They have a spa here as well which looked really nice - didn't get around to trying it though. We'd happily return. If you have any Q's please just ask. Cheers!
