We stayed at the Puri Tanah Lot for a few days before moving to another hotel. The reason that we moved was the location of the hotel, my sister prefers to be closer to Kuta, and the fact that we were put in a dingy room in the corner of the property with a lot of rubbish and storage near us. The rate was very good, the staff helpful. I've never seen so many mozzies in a hotel room before. They sprayed one evening and we were most uncomfortable for a few hours and couldn't escape ie: go outside. Breakfast was very nice, eggs and bacon, fruit and tea/coffee. Best eggs I've had for a while. If you like that end of town the location is good. Just off Melasti in Gang Lebak Bene. A short walk to Garlic Lane and not far to the beach. They didn't like us moving their stuff from the fridge and put everything back each morning. The bathroom lacked a shower curtain and a plug, but the plug was supplied when asked. Towels were small and smelly and in short supply. We asked for an extra pillow but as they were full they took two days to supply. Generally the service was good and it's not their fault if supplies were not available. I didn't like the pool much but it was clean. There was building going on and one of the villas/bungalows was being gutted and rebuilt. For a small property there are quite a lot of rooms. Generally a nice hotel. I didn't ask them to move us to a nicer room as they were full, the rooms facing the pool would have been better.
