We've decided now to spend 2 nights in Amed region - 1 @ Life at Amed & 1 @ Blue Moon Villas (I just couldn't decide between the 2 so thought what the hell!). I haven't been further than Candi Dasa before so would like to have a good look around. Thanks for your info, very helpful. When you say early re the market at Amlampura - how early is early? I certainly don't mind getting off the beaten track, I want the family to experience the real Bali as well as the tourist hub. Do you know if there are hot springs anywhere in the vicinity or along either route you mentioned? Thanks, Steph
