Dressmaker, NOT tailor

I have had numerous things copied at Janoko Tailor & by & large I've been happy but not thrilled. I realise that they mainly do suits & tailoring as opposed to dressmaking. And they're not especially interested in anything else.

Last trip Whoopee & I went to pick up some 7/8ths pants I had left to be copied - they were full length!! I tried on the originals & then the longer copies repeatedly but they would not SEE the difference - just relied on their tape measurements. No biggie, I'll take them up to 7/8 length myself.

Other complaints for me about Janoko are that, unless you want suits or business shirts, the range of fabrics is minimal (I only want linen & have trouble) & they are very busy so things take 5 or 6 days.

So, I am doing a 6 day trip in late October & I want a place that doesn't specialise in suits - that just does good sewing & has a good range of fabrics.
