Do it - - do not listen to the people who say go to fixed price shops - - these may be easy but you will miss the fun of the people on the street. - - It is great when you can laugh at each other after striking a deal especially when you are both happy with the deal and if you are not then do not agree on the price and od not but it.
I found it interesting to go back to my early shops just before returning home and ask about the price because they remember you and say "you know the price" - - my response was yes but last time very expensive this time I want best price - - at this they laugh and start negotiating. - -Who ever said to halve their best price and then go up from there is right - - do not buy it is you think it is too expensive and they will not sell it to you if they are not making a profit.
Bottom line be happy with what you buy and the price you paid - - who cares if it is more expensive than some one else paid - - oyu had fun in the bartering and you bought something you wanted for a price you thought fair at the time - - what more can you want?
