Have been on the Jetstar website and it states that baggage allowance weights are strictly adhered to.
Family of 5 so we have combined 100kgs (which is great for shopping/return trip!). Have packed our bag (rather large one) and everything fits great. Problem is that it weighs 24kgs.
Obviously with our total combined allowance, that's not a problem but just wondering whether being 4kgs over the 20kg per bag allowance will be a problem? Had a girlfriend return from Thailand recently and her bag was 26kg and they just put a 'heavy' sticker on it (2 people travelling so 40kgs).
I know when we've flown with them interstate, they've put both bags on the scale together and took the combined weight.
I realise that I can just pack another smaller bag but carrying just the one is a lot easier.
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
