I did Anika Cooking Class and because nobody else had booked the same day as me, I was the only participant. One-on-one tour of the markets, then six-to-one at the cooking school.
Having said that it's only a 'bit' hands-on - the staff do most of it, you just do a bit of a mix, a bit of a cook. When it came to eating however, ALL of the food was for me. I felt a bit ridiculous really and was incredibly full. I would have liked to do it with at least one other person. I asked whether all classes were this small and I think the guy said the class the previous day had 8-10 in it.
So it's really just the luck of whether or not any one books the same class as you.
I really enjoyed the market tour.
