in Bali. Like you, we wanted to spend a long time and really explore....even though we had been many times before, had not really gone far from Kuta/Legian/Seminyak. We started with 4 nights at KTH, Kuta, organising a car for a 3 week driving trip, ordering stuff at the tailors etc. Then flew to Lombok for a week. Our first time there. Sensational. Stayed at Puri Mas, and we have put this on our 'must do' for every Bali trip from now on. It is only a 20 minute flight. Then couple of nights back at Legian to pick up the car and headed to Ubud for a week. Stayed Greenfields, for first time, and we loved it. Have already booked again for next year. One night at Lake Batur, great experience, on our way to Lovina. Adirama, on the beach, was lovely. 4 nights was enough and we explored the surrounding mountains while we were there. Next stop Bayu Cottages, Amed. We loved this place. Great snorkeling/diving and so relaxing. After 4 nights headed to Candi Dasa and stayed in luxury at Nirwana...lovely way to prepare for our last 2 week back in Legian at Sari Beach Hotel.
It was the best holiday we have ever had, and we saw a lot, experienced a lot, and still had time to relax. All these places were great. We are now planning our trip for next June!
