I have just booked us a seven week holiday in beautiful Bali for March/April next year! YAY !!!!!
This is something I have ALWAYS wanted to do - spend a really loooooooong time in Bali getting to know the place and exploring. Now starts the planning, I am wondering if there is anyone here who has done similar and can give me some ideas on where to go and where to stay?
We will spend a fair bit of time at the Tegal Sari in Ubud but I would also like to spend some time in some other places and would love some recommendations and ideas. I was really pleased to discover the TS this last trip - it was not somewhere I would have thought of staying before so would love some ideas on similar small hotels like the TS that have that little something "special" and are very balinese. Any recommendations would be fabulous!
We will have our 5 year old with us who came to Bali for his first visit in May this year, so will need recommendations for places that are safe and suitable for a young child.
I'm so excited about this, have to try and start booking but don't really know where to start. I was thinking of staying at the TS for the entire seven weeks and using it as a base for travel elsewhere but then thought maybe we should stay at a few diferent places in Bali - would really love some ideas from all those in the know :)
