Had a similar experience....website was really slow and i think i hit refresh, noticed later on when i checked my bookings i had 2 from Gold Coast to KL return. I stressed, rang them straight away and they said because it was the same flight, same names of people they would cancel one. I guess i was lucky, however they wouldnt change my other flight that i had made on the wrong day.
