Jetstar - tried to book online but their website was incompetent. So managed to get the booking by phone for the internet price. Emailed itenenarary made no mention of paid meals.
Later changed return booking by phone, as the website was playing up again, but had to pay phone booking price this time. Asked the operator about the meals, and yes they were on system. Once again however, the itenerary made no mention of them.
Leaving Perth we got the said meal - suprisingly nice but minature. Returning there was no such luck. Rang Jetstar once back in Aus. only to get "the computer says noooo" - not suprised. More importantly, I was relieved our flight was not cancelled and left on time. Seats were very comfortably padded leather and the service was otherwise good.
Kumala Pantai - still lovely and its good to see they keep improving it (eg raising footpaths) and still aesthetically.
Last year we stayed in Block H opposite reception. Being on the third floor I was happy to sleep with balcony doors open, but being above a driveway to an underground carpark, meant listening to traffic throughout the night rev up the said driveway. And reception could get noisy at times with groups of people.
This year we stayed in Block SG next to the newer pool at our request. There was no breeze and it was too muggy (in June!) at night not to use air con. Also had to close curtains because of the rooms opposite the pool and the rooms face east getting the morning sun
Our pick if we go back would be block B - no reception noise, no rooms opposite, not too close to the pool with a bit of a sea breeze.
Disappointed with a few of the punters though. Drinking copious amounts of your BOUGHT ELSEWHERE grog around the pool is one thing, but don't leave it for the staff to clean up. They are already missing out on the service payment because you are not buying from the hotel. At least take your emptys to the bar so they don't have to come and collect your mess.
From a 'Green Nazi' I was disappointed that there was no green policy. Linen was changed daily with no option to keep it. But worse was the dummy card in the power source slot. This allowed your air con. to stay on all day without you being there. Yes you could turn it off, but lets face it, on holiday in a different country, only us die hard greenies would bother.
