I got so excited about the new Air Asia cheapies that I just had to have some but it was complicated.

Already have Virgin booked for November and Jetstar for this month and for March (all good prices) HOWEVER was hoping to find a way to change Nov because I didn't want to miss an event one of my grandchildren is in. Couldn't move it to December or I'll miss her graduation ceremony at school. You see what a complex life I lead don't you?

So, Light globe moment, flash!!! Cancelled Virgin and got a credit for future use (note to Hillary look out for Virgin specials as long as they are after March next year).

All done and dusted. Booked Air Asia 2 seats each way. $64 out and $124 back. Airport tax $134. This is where I got very excited indeed and in a fit of extravagance paid for supersize luggage to 20kgs $72 for 2 ppl. 2 ways and lashed out on 2 Nasi Lemak $12.40 for 4 =2 each way. Then when I saw the seat selection I just couldn't help myself and got the good seats at the front each way $40 total. That adds up to .....drumroll......$446.40 for 2. That's my best yet.

After the initial excitement had died down I realised while it is good that it's Brian's birthday while we are there, it's not good that I forgot he had booked to go and see Liza Minelli on that day. Whoops........

Now I would add, before I ruin what little reputation I have left, that I don't actually like Liza Minelli. I was just going to be nice to Brian who does.

Obviously I owe him for the tickets, at the least, I feel one of those "good news" "bad news" conversations coming up ...........
