Ham Diaries Day 2 SHR
# Sexy stunning neighbour has a name, Linsey. Irish girl heading home after traveling Australia. That Irish accent could make a man forget his manners.
# Found lovely little 4 table eatery on Gang Sorga run by charming group of people. Am a creature of habit so will eat there at least once a day. Food is good, served by attentive hosts in intimate surrounds. Hoping in time they might let me into the kitchen so I might learn how to cook mei goreng, properly.
# Glorious day at Kuta beach today with perfect three foot waves breaking left and right. Those Bali kids really shine in the smaller surf. Methinks a go on one of them long boards looks a bit of fun and would amuse any observers as i continually fall off arms flailing.
# Bought a bunch of leather wristlets from young girls I am sure I bought from two and half years ago. Cheeky young girls as sharp as a sliver of glass. Still have three bunches left from last trip and could not possibly exhaust my supply in a lifetime. I don't doubt I will buy more before I leave as I find it hard to refuse cheeky kids.
# Bit of an evening stroll and back to losmen. Spent a while chatting with young Aussie surfer guys who were "stoked" and "wrapped" about their first trip to Bali. Nice fellas.
# Had hoped to catch up with Aussie journo mate I met in Laos last year but he has had to go to Java for a couple of weeks. Will see him when he gats back and I hope he can help me cause a little pain for Indojet with his connections.
# Looks like I will also be meeting a few BTF members while I am here. Great! I wonder if there is some kind of secret BTF nose rub or signal one should use that I'm not privy to yet. I want there to be.
# Read some more Hunter s Thompson bio before sleep and watched Alvin the resident gecko chase off a male intruder. He is master of his domain and announced it not long after with throaty authority.
Thoughts: tinnup booey reminded me of story of romance with a heavy twist I experienced on my second trip to Bali as a nineteen year old, so will spend tomorrow writing "Romance and 5 Guns"on my porch. No literary genius here, takes ages to get it out of the head. But thats ok as I cant think of a better way to spend tommorrow than engaging in my favorite hobby in my favorite destination.
