This being the case why is it that the indonesian government wesite,link in this thread, clearly states that it is min 6 months INTO indonesia not out???.
Depending on who you fly with going through singapore (your example) you may not even technically be in the country, if you are only in the transit area it doesnt count as entering a country.
If you are visiting several countries on a tour it is YOUR responsibility to have sufficient validity on your passport to be able to ENTER the last country NOT the responsibility of the country you are leaving,they just make sure you can ENTER THE NEXT DESTINATION.
