good sense, given that the next country you are travelling to (which may or may not be your citizenship country) will require six months validity on entry. If you have less than six months and say you were transitting through Singapore (as some poor South Aussies have to do) then Singapore wont accept you, in which case they will send you back to the country you just left from - Bali.
I believe it is the country you have just left from that has to assume responsibility for you, even when it is not where you live.
