My wife & I did the ferry thing 3 years ago, Bali To Lombok. 5 To 6 hours on awful old boat, + car travel from Legian to Ferry. Never again. Wastes a whole day & very unpleasant trip. There used to be a fast ferry but that seems to have finished. Plane trip is about 30 minutes which we booked in Lombok to go back to Bali. We just wished we'd flown both ways !!!
