When you check in at your departure airport each bag gets a sticker attached with an individual number and the representative of the airline you are travelling with will then give you a copy of the sticker with a number on. The reason for this is that if your baggage goes missing in transit they know which bag numbers to look for. When you arrive in Bali and are greeted by a Netfare rep you give to them your numbered stickers and they go and fetch you bags for you.
