What a shame that people do not respect the culture of the country they are staying in. I think its terribly disrespectful. Maybe some of these people didnt know it is Nyepi. I think the majority of Australians know about it, were they from a different country I wonder...
The towel on chair phenomenon seems to grow. Last year when we stayed at the Ramada - we were lucky if you could get a pool chair in the first tier - they were all taken - now people must have been getting out of bed before 7am to do this, because I would go for a walk in the morning and the towels were always down! Makes me laugh thinking about it.
