I felt EXACTLY the same. It is very easy for a shop keeper in Bali to say the problem will be fixed next trip, knowing that the next trip is probably a year away & hoping all will have been forgotten by then. They will have "forgotten" it for sure.
I did give Audrey a chance to make things right - but she insulted me with a $300 diamond instead of the $900 stone taken from me. Despite my continued and relentless efforts I am stuck with 2 $300 diamonds and not the one large stone stolen from me. She does not respond to my emails.
I doubt very much that Mrs Pak's offer would actually be honoured. And I bet more stones fall out.
