I dont think your request is unreasonable - you will probably find that your waitlist for the morning flight will come through, as I dont think they would be too keen to pay for the extra nights accommodation if you fly the night before. I doubt you will get an answer today though - imagine all the others that are affected by it too. You have to be patient and above all be nice - it does pay to be nice especially when requesting something like this. If you read the Terms and Conditions under the Liability section, you will see that they are not liable for any changes made.
